Flower Mound Family Photographer
Family photography should capture more than what everyone looked like on a particular day. The best photographs preserve the relationships, personalities, and small details that become more meaningful as the years pass.
At There Is Moore Photography, family sessions combine thoughtful direction with natural interaction. I guide you when you need it, create space for children to be themselves, and focus on producing a gallery that includes both polished portraits and genuine moments of connection.
Based in Flower Mound, I photograph families throughout the surrounding Dallas-Fort Worth area, including Highland Village, Lewisville, Grapevine, Coppell, and nearby communities.

A Family Photoshoot That Goes Beyond Average Pictures
You do not need to know how to pose, prepare every expression, or keep your children perfectly still.
My job is to create an environment where your family can relax while I take care of the technical and visual details. I provide clear direction for traditional portraits, then allow room for movement, conversation, laughter, and the unscripted moments that often become favorites.
That balance is important.
Most families want at least a few photographs where everyone is looking at the camera and looking their best. Those images matter. But the quieter photographs often matter just as much: a child reaching for a parent's hand, siblings laughing together, or the expression that happens between posed photographs.
My goal is to give you both.

Family Photography Pricing
Petite portrait sessions begin at $250, and full family sessions begin at $450.
The best option depends on the size of your family, the amount of variety you want, and the type of session you are planning.
Full sessions are generally the better choice for families who want a larger gallery, multiple groupings, greater location variety, or more time for younger children to settle into the experience.
What to Expect From Your Family Photoshoot
Every session begins with planning so you can arrive knowing what to expect.
Before Your Session
-
I will help you choose a location that fits the look you want and works well for your family.
-
You will also receive guidance on clothing and coordination so everyone looks cohesive without appearing overly matched or styled.
-
We will discuss the size of your family, the ages of your children, any photographs that are especially important to you, and anything else that will help the session run smoothly.
During Your Session
-
I provide relaxed posing direction and adjust that approach based on your family.
-
Some children respond well to simple direction. Others need movement, conversation, games, or a little extra time to become comfortable. I do not expect young children to perform like adults during a portrait session.
-
We will create the traditional family portraits that most clients want while also allowing natural interaction to happen.
After Your Session
-
Your final gallery is carefully curated and professionally edited for consistent color, natural skin tones, and a polished finished look.
-
I select the strongest photographs from the session so you receive a cohesive gallery rather than a large collection of near-duplicates or unfinished images.
-
Professional print products are also available for families who want to display and preserve their photographs beyond the digital gallery.

Professional Lighting Creates Better Family Photos
Light plays a major role in the quality of your photographs. While many photographers rely entirely on available natural light, I frequently incorporate professional off-camera lighting techniques to create greater depth, cleaner skin tones, and consistent results. This approach allows me to create beautiful family photos across a wide variety of environments and lighting conditions.
Whether we're photographing at Murrell Park, exploring the shoreline of Grapevine Lake, or creating sunset family pictures at The Riverwalk, professional lighting helps create images that feel polished, natural, and timeless. The goal is never to make your photos look artificial. Instead, it allows me to shape the scene intentionally and create the clean, cinematic look that has become a signature of my work.

Best Locations for Family Photos in Flower Mound
Flower Mound and the surrounding area offer a wide range of settings for family photography. The right location depends on the style you want, the ages of your children, the season, and how much variety you would like during the session.
Murrell Park
Murrell Park is one of my favorite options for families who want a natural North Texas setting.
The shoreline, wooded areas, open spaces, and views across Grapevine Lake provide several different looks within one location. It can be especially beautiful later in the day when the light begins to warm and the lake reflects the evening sky.
Murrell Park also gives children room to move, which can work well for families who want photographs that feel relaxed rather than overly formal.
The Riverwalk in Flower Mound
The Riverwalk is a strong option for families who want more visual variety without traveling between multiple locations.
Stone pathways, landscaped areas, water features, bridges, mature trees, and surrounding architecture allow us to create several different looks during a single session.
It works particularly well for families who prefer a more polished setting while still wanting greenery and outdoor elements.
Grapevine Lake
The areas surrounding Grapevine Lake can provide open landscapes, natural textures, shoreline views, and warm evening light.
These locations work well for families who want a simpler outdoor setting where the focus remains primarily on the people rather than the background.
During the planning process, I will help you compare locations and choose the one that best matches your family, clothing, and overall vision.
